new life for your pool

First Coat may look patchy

If epoxy paint is applied over a surface which has different areas of porosity, such as Render or Marblesheen, the first coat may soak in more in some areas than others. The result the next morning is you see areas that are glossy and areas where it’s “flat”. (See the first picture). The second coat however will even all this out and your pool will have a uniform glossy finish, as seen in the second picture.

To overcome this and ensure a more even film build and thus life, we recommend the use of Concrete water based primer/sealer on ALL porous or friable surfaces. See the Application Notes for comprehensive details.

Patchy surface after 1st coat on bare concrete.
After 2nd coat, it evens out, but better with a sealer first.
